It's not weird logic at all, whatsover. Show me a country where abortion is banned, yet you think you would love to live there. Don't you think God would want to richly bless a nation whereever abortion is banned, if stopping the slaying of innocent unborn babies in the womb was all that important to Him?

Investing is one thing. Tripling the national debt in three years is another. How do you think we got into this mess anyway. It was people spending money they didn't have. How do you think the government can do the same thing and the country will bounce back. FYI! IT WON"T! The countries we are borrowing money from AKA CHINA! Will come in and take everything.
Just wait and see.

I hope they take Coburn while they are taking EVERYTHING!
" All right, listen, I know the tribal issues. I was a congressman where most of the Indians are in this state. The problem is that most of them aren't Indians. The average Cherokee quantum is 1/512. All right, most people in this room have more Cherokee in them than the Cherokee.
Coburn buried the hatchet - in our backs
Coburn fails to acknowledge most tribes require a 1/4 blood quantum. Besides, what possible difference does one tribe's roll requirements have to do with Oklahoma as a whole, or tribal issues? Bear in mind, Oklahoma has what, 40 Federally recognized tribes?
Coburn also went on to say:
" I mean this is a joke. It is one thing for us to keep our obligations to recognize Native Americans, but it’s a totally different thing for us to allow a primitive agreement with the Native Americans to undermine Oklahoma’s future…"
So, a treaty is signed by two sovereign nations is a "primitive agreement?" Talk about condescending. Here Coburn, read this and feel the primitive burn called the Constitution.
In 1789, the Constitution of the United States was ratified against the background of the early treaty-making with Indian nations, providing in Article VI that: All Treaties made, or which shall be made. … shall be the Supreme Law of the Land. …. As Georgia sought to steal Cherokee lands a generation later, Chief Justice Marshall explained the full meaning and importance of the Treaty Clause in Indian affairs:
The Constitution, by declaring treaties already made, as well as those to be made, to be the Supreme Law of the Land, has adopted and sanctioned the previous treaties with the Indian nations, and consequently admits their rank among those powers who are capable of making treaties. The words ‘treaty’ and ‘nation’ are applied to Indians, as we have applied them to the other nations of the earth.
Worcester v. Georgia (1832)
In reply to Coburn's claim that the Cherokee Nation had given $150,000 to his opponent's campaign, Cherokee spokespersons stated that the Cherokee Nation has not given a single dollar to Carson's campaign.
Coburn is a politician who speaks with forked tongue!

Where did you take that out of context? Was it in reference to the casinos?
He is the only one that is standing up for what is right! I am glad he is there, and so does most of Oklahoma!
By the way China has purchased $1.367 Trillion of the US's debt. SCARY! You guys need to realize that investing comes from money you have. Taking out loans to Communist countries is not investing. That is playing with the country's future.
Coburn wants to stop the government spending so we don't end up owing China everything we have. China is a smart country that will if they are let take over everything they can. We need to watch them like a hawk. They are already spreading computer viruses throughout the world.

OMG. Yeah right! He is the ONLY one in America standing up for what is right. No one else is standing up for what is right. Hail Coburn! Ewwwkay.
There are a lot of people standing up for they believe is right. Take the soft fluffy angel wings off of Coburn and return them to Rush Limbaugh please.
Are you having a bromance with Coburn or something?
And as for computer virus'. A lot good ol' fashioned red-blooded americans are also writing malware.

Aside from him being a condescending boob, here is one of his biggest problems.
We are all against massive spending. But Coburn is so rigid that he creates a gridlock so nothing gets accomplished.
He is incapable of compromise for the sake of getting things moving again which makes him one of the, if not the, least effective people in DC.
I looked at his schedule and was glad he wasn;t coming close to my town. But on second thought perhaps I should go to one of those meetings and ask him some pointed questions.

I am glad he is there causing a gridlock. It disgusts me that the House pushed the Stimulus package through in a day without reading it. There were tons of pork in it. Coburn managed to get a lot of it out of the package. You have to respect that. Just because it says "stimulus" doesn't mean it is going to benefit the country when you have Hundreds of millions of dollars of Pork in it.

He is anti-spending. I think it is great that we have someone in there that is against spending every last penny we have.

Absolutely. Not only does abortion damage a woman's body it also takes an innoncent life that had no "choice" in the matter. I am not a Republican but I value Coburn's views on the sanctity of life.
Given that I am a Pro-Life Democrat I would say that I am not alone in Oklahoma....since we have essentially voted VERY conservative on social issues as a state (even though we are a state having a majority for Democratic affiliation). Perhaps we should revisit the 'ol system of Dixicrats that used to run our party and not allow Yankee Dems and Californians to have full control as they do now.)
Alright, enough ramblin'. *steps down off of soap-box*
