He is the only Senator that will stand up for what's right and try to keep us from going trillions and trillions further into debt. You have to respect that. He has the best interest of the country, unlike most of the politicians in DC.

NO, I don't. It is stupid to say the least. He has absolutely no concept of fundamental demand side economics and if he were given the chance would put is into a recession that we would never recover from. He is hellbent on relegating us to third world status.

Okay, I'm not as senior as some of you, but nothing about my original post was meant to invite discussion on the merits of Coburn. I think it's stupid to say the least that you would suggest, GP, that any American is "hellbent" on relegating us to third-world status.

Goodpasture, I don't know if you know Economics, but I do. I have a BS in it and have done Economic Analysis for 7 years. Nothing that Coburn has done has been negative towards our country in that sense. Now the last stimulus package, and BOs new budget could make us a country owned by China in 3 years. They have and are purchasing most of our debt that BO and the Democratic majority has proposed and made.

As a matter of fact I do know economics, and china already owns almost all our debt. The majority of the money that has gone into the subprime bubble was originated in China. Further, I consider Tom as perhaps the least competent Senator in a Senate full of incompetence.

Here is his voting record. About my only agreement with him is his support of the second amendment.

Tom Coburn on the Issues

Nope....I'm done. Coburn announced town hall meetings across the state, I said I would be embarrassed to attend, I explained why, I'm done. It is perfectly acceptable for others to hold different views. I expressed mine as well. Any further discussion on Mr Coburn will have to engage others, not me.
