Yes, "Sallisaw Henryetta Wagoner Catoosa" works better if you say it out loud.
And for Lady Robyn: It's older than somebody's hills because my mother taught it to me - - and I'm 64 years old! There's another one along that same line but I can't drag it out of my febble ole brain right now.

I have to say... Although I am an Okie....Borne and Bred... Grew up on Texanna Road in McIntosh County, I have always prided myself on not being a "HICK". I grew up there but soon split for horizons that looked alot brighter at 18. Lived in Tahlequah, Tulsa, Tampa, OKC.. Then back in Tulsa again for almost 15 years. Then I moved back to Checotah. It was one of those "Sigh... I'm Home.." Relief kinda feelings.
I read this and realized.... OMG I AM ONE OF THEM... And it ain't that much of a bad thing.

I know how to pronounce a lot of the towns that most out-of-staters might get wrong, but I bet some of them are still gonna get me. A little 'pronouce this town' quiz is one of the first things my Okie friend entertained himself with when we first started talking a while back. He got a good laugh out of my pronounciations of Chickasha and a few others I've forgotten now. What are some others people get wrong (besides My-am-uh)?

Okay, y'all I don't drink caffeine, so it took me a LOT longer to "get" this one. Cute.

I said it out loud several times, but I must be saying it wrong, cuz I don't think I get it. Is it supposed to be funny?

I don't think it works with a Maine "accent"
Sally saw Henryetta "waggin'" her Catoosa.
