Well..... I've lived in Alaska and northwest Montana, and the winters in St Louis were nastier. They were just shorter. And I don't miss snow at all. And there's an old joke in Alaska: "There are three seasons, freeze-up, break-up, and road construction." It's true, too. Not that the roads are all that great, they just get worked on year after year, repairing the damage done by the previous winter's freeze.

I have to agree. Also, I seriously question the legitimacy of any list that has Pittsburgh or Little Rock in its top 50, let alone its top 10. These lists are rather meaningless because the criteria used and weight given to them is so subjective.

I know, I know. When we moved here from NJ last year, all I heard about was the humidity in OK. Y'all don't know what humidity is until you've waded through the air on the east coast.
There were times going to work that I swore I swam there.

My wife also complains about the humidity in New Jersey. She hates it and says it is as bad as Houston, although that is probably exaggerating a bit.
She tells me the Summers in DFW are no comparison to the Summer in NJ, and in a good way (favoring DFW).
