Default Travel on US-69 to TX

We will be flying up to SW Missouri to buy and car and then driving back to Texas. We are contemplating either going home via I30 through Little Rock or taking US-69 down from Tulsa into Dallas.

The US-69 route is shorter but I'm wondering if it will be faster. Is there still a lot of construction going on there or would it be pretty smooth sailing all the way to Dallas?

Which route would you recommend?

Thanks!

I would recommend 69/75 myself. As well as being shorter, it's much more scenic.

I agree with Synopsis. I drove from Springfield, MO to Tulsa to visit friends, and then off to DFW and took 69/75. Beautiful drive. I-30 is boring and I don't think you save much time one over the other.

We just made that 69/75 drive last week......very relaxing, no truck traffic, good roads for the most part.
