Flight, hotel, rental car, all booked!

We're gonna be in OKC the 20th-26th!

I'm excited, but a little bit nervous...

I haven't flown since August 2001.

OH, and we're actually flying into DFW, so we're gonna get to see some of southern OK on the drive to the city.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but why fly to DFW and drive to OKC? The more usage our airport gets in OKC, the more direct flights we will have.

In any case, enjoy your trip to OKC. Ours is in June.

It's always cheaper by $2-300 to fly into and out of DFW. Sad fact of reality.

I could have told her that, but I figured they would find out for themselves.

Not only that, but there are very few (if any) direct flights from OKC to the east coast (Philly). When we don't mind changing planes, we fly in and out of OKC, but when one of the kids is flying alone, we opt for DFW so they don't have to change planes.

Yeah we found all of the things y'all mentioned to be true. We were basically looking for the cheapest flights. I'm sorry that OKC is really expensive and doesn't fly into Portland, Maine without 2 or 3 stops. Even with those stops, it's around $400. We paid $239 round trip into DFW and that's only because we had to wait a few days for my sister's mom to decide if it was alright for my sister to go with us. If we hadn't, we'd have flown round trip for $194. Oh, and our first flight is direct!! Almost didn't believe that! Hardly anywhere, even on the east coast, flies direct to Portland, usually it's Manchester, NH. Then our returning flight has one stop, which is still not bad. I hope my sister can sit still for our flight into DFW, it says it's about 5 hours long! (Though Dad says they usually are around an hour less than the estimated time?? I don't know, like I said it's been a while since I've flown.)

What time are you arriving at DFW? I only live about 10 miles from the airport and maybe we could meet up for lunch? I know some GREAT places to eat over there.

We're flying in at 5pm-ish. That would be kind of funny. I'm picturing it now:

"Hey Dad, Synopsis asked if we wanted to meet up and grab something to eat while we're in DFW..."

"Who asked you to meet up in where?"

This is exciting. DM me your cell, and I'll send you mine so maybe we can get together while you're here. Again, Anna's party is the 22nd. How old is your sister?
