I don't understand the OP joke. Why would a gay man be wearing a woman's clothes?

A former co-worker who grew up in Oklahoma had this to say:

The Dust Bowl, When half the state of Oklahoma left for California and the average IQ's of both states was greatly improved upon.

Hope that gets a chuckle.
Honestly, I don't get the joke.

gay does not equal transvestite, so the joke just doesn't make sense

cross dressing means neither straight, transvestite or gay, however a person who is gay, transvestite or straight can cross dress. Apparently the gay cowboy was also a cross dresser......and if you don't think gays can cross dress go to the next gay pride day in a major city, or NO next Mardi Gras......either enjoy the humor or don't, but please don't make a big issue over a triviality. Just out of curiosity, vegan, did you ever locate that sense of humor?

I don't think Vegan knows anything about SanFransisco We'll know when this person asks, "what does SanFransisco have to do with it"
