Looking for Homestay in Edmond, Oklahoma
Hi everyone
I'm Lindsay, Chinese, from Malaysia. I'll be attending the University of Central Oklahoma this coming Fall and I would love to find a nice American family for which I can homestay with. I don't mind living in dorm, but I would love to experience the American family's way of life.

Hi lindsay,
I spent a lot of time in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) back in the late 80s. It was a really interesting place.
I'll do some research regarding your homestay question and get back with you. Hopefully, some others will chime in as well.
Welcome to CD!

I'll bet it has! I always stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Kuala Lumpur. I always enjoyed my stays there and was treated very well.
I seem to remember it rained about 2 pm everyday like clockwork.

Lindsay, I can't offer you a homestay, but if you ever need someone to talk to who can understand what it's like...I'm here. I lived in South Korea for a little over 10 years, so I know what it's like to live in a foreign country/culture. I graduated from UCO and always had foreign students as roommates and tutored quite a few of them as well. I'm moving back to the Edmond area in a couple of weeks. I'm not student-aged---34, but still, I KNOW what it's like to be a foreigner.

Hello Lindsay,
I live just 3 miles from ELS in Oklahoma City and there is public transport close to my house for getting around OKC and to/from school. My other ELS student just graduated, so I have a room available. For more information on the room, click here:
