Very cool! NSSL in Norman has some our large super computers that are doing tornado prediction, first of it's kind in the world. The weather models they use requires crunching a lot of data in a short period of time.  |

I SAW that one! Had just taken our Daughter to work, dodging a nasty hail/rain storm and there was debris and trash all over town. As I drove towards our neighborhood I saw the prettiest snowy white tendril reaching down against a pitch black sky... took me a few minutes to realize what it was!! 
And it was in the same direction as our neighborhood... 
If I recall correctly, the only serious damage was someone's barn.
