Hello! We are moving to Fort Sill / Lawton in July and I will be 32 weeks pregnant! Can anyone recommend a good doctor/hospital (or an bad ones to avoid) in the Lawton / Fort Sill area? We are open to going on or off post. Thank you so much!!!!!

My wife had our baby at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. Personally, I wouldn't go there. The place is filthy. My sister works there, and she uses Southwestern Hospital. I remember when my wife was sleeping in the birthing room, some nurse came in there, and woke her up just to give her a sleeping pill. Then when they gave her the shot to numb her lower body, (I forgot what its called), it took about 10-15 tries until they got it in the right area.

well i'll be pcsing to ft. sill. i've never been to ok in my life nor do i have any family on either side im afraid as i don't know what to do.im four months pregnant and im wondering will i get on housing or will they make me stay in the miserable barracks i have to many things that i have to prepare for me and my unborn child s i am going to a single parent.what should i do someone please respond!

Hey Jasmine and Broadnaxjamika,

My wife has family that lives outside of Lawton. When I get off of work I can ask her if her relatives might know of any good doctors in that area if you would like. Also, just ask some of your neighbors and other folks at the base. They'll have some good suggestions and I think you'll find that Okies are helpful folks.

Also, prayer helps me in stressful situations (pretty much all the time, now that I think about it.)......"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
