Default Hot enough for ya?

It's 103 here with a heat index of 118 at only 1 pm.

Hurst, Texas (76053) Conditions & Forecast : Weather Underground

Colleen, come on down and relish this fine Summer weather!

118! I don't think we've ever even experienced a heat index that high here. I don't remember if we have, that's for sure. I'll admit though I tend to be skeptical of those personal weather stations. I prefer the airport observations, even if they're farther away. For example DFW is 97 with a 100 heat index.

I can guarantee you that it's that hot here Nameless. I was a broadcast engineer for years and responsible for setting up the weather station for a regional television station in Oklahoma.

I have the same setup here at my home and the numbers are close to what Weather Underground noted. It actually peaked at 120 heat index about 30 minutes ago. Yuck....

And not only that, it feels hotter than hell. My dog doesn't even want to venture outside.

BTW, I hate cicadas and their heat worshiping little screeches!

Still in Tulsa here- I moved from WI to escape the endless winters, but WOW-this heat is getting a bit old. How about a nice happy medium

There is none LeaveWI. I suppose the only place there is a happy medium is in a place like San Diego, Northern Cal, or Portland, Oregon.

This time of the year in this part of the country absolutely sucks IMO. The heat seams to feed off of itself and get worse by the day. I hate it with a passion. And if you think Tulsa is bad, look further south to where I am; it's almost hellish.

I feel kinda foolish tho, all my yapping about the endless winters in WI, so I move to a warmer climate, and look what happens-can't go biking and such due to the weather. Still I'd take 2 months of bad weather over six I guess.

I was relishing my own little "hell" here in Mustang, LOL. Between the pool and A/C, though, it's bearable. I still would rather have this than cool, cloudy and rainy.

As long as I'm occupied, I can tolerate the heat. But if I don't get started early in the morning when it's cooler, the heat just drains my energy and ruins my day

It's sprinkling in Duncan right now it's only suppose to hit 94 today/w possible T-storms. They say it's only suppose to be in the 80's tomorrow.
After all of this hot weather, I don't know if I can handle a cold weather drop of 20+degrees
