Yeah, we got a couple of really nasty ice storms when you did, it wrecked my snow/wind screen pines in front of the house here in Illinois. Also the wind was so fierce for 3 months this spring that it tore them up even more.

Don't be deceived by a mild winter or two.
I do chainsaw work with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief ministry and the worst tree damage I ever saw was in McAlester a couple of years ago. Far worse than Hurricanes Katrina, Ike, Gustav or Dennis. There was hardly an unbroken tree in that city and as far up as Muskogee. It was just near total devastation which was so bad we were back in McAlester 3 months after the storm cleaning up the last 30 jobs. Since then, we have had major operations in Tulsa (twice), Oklahoma City and the Talequah-Westville area just this past winter. Before I joined the SBDR, they'd had a major deployment into Choctaw, Pushmataha and McCurtain counties for the same thing.
Do NOT underestimate Oklahoma ice storms. I doubt there is any place in the country which exceeds the Sooner state in frequency of ice storms.
