There is plenty of stuff in OK that is backwards for sure. I just try not to focus on the negative, because I see alot of positives here. Places change, I think OK is headed in the right direction for the most part.

All cities, regardless of size from OKC to L.A. NY, Chicago have trash/litter. It's a human condition called apathy.
There are litter bugs in rural areas, it's just not as predominant. Whereas if you go to skid row or any run down portion of any city, it is pretty sad.
As far as your statement of " never witnessed such blatant disregard for the environment as I have in OK", would you care to qualify that?
Are you talking in OKC, or from the oil drilling or what? Many oil rigs are being bought and sold to john q. public is my greatest concern. Still it's not as bad as the OP makes out.
I noticed along I-40 there isn't much trash because OK DOT uses inmate crews to pick up trash and there are sections that are adopted by various groups.

Oklahoma watershed. Poultry corporations. Picher. Do it yourself oil changes, alot of Okies love to save a buck and don't dispose of the waste properly. People actually scoffing at me for recycling (born and bred Sooners BTW). Where I grew up the attitude was opposite, you'd get scoffed at if you didn't recycle.
I personally have just witnessed more people throwing **** out of their car here than in other places I've lived. I mean tossing a bag of food trash out of your car while in the drive through... really?! I've seen it more than twice, and I don't eat fast food but once a week!!
Have you checked the latest water quality report of Tulsa's leg of the Arkansas? Not acceptable.

OK has a long way to go with environmental protections, this land is too beautiful to let ignorant redneck-pro business interests ruin it for future generations.

OKC is a filthy, filthy city. Particularly the roads. There is trash and debris everywhere, and you also see a lot of large, dead dogs.
I also find drivers here to be extremely aggressive. Tailgating and speeding are very common.

You've obviously never driven in the Dallas/Fort Worth area then.
As far as trash goes, I've never noticed more trash on Oklahoma highways than anywhere else.

But with so much traffic congestion in Dallas/Ft. Worth, isn't hard most of the time to drive up to the speed limit??

Oh no. Most of the time you can drive 80 miles per hour, it's only during rush hour that things turn into a parking lot.

Last time we went in, we had a 25 horse string and each horse had five large bags hung on it.
Not sure why this is an issue. First of all, Christians are simply people who believe in Jesus. It has nothing to do with how people drive or whether they smile or not. they ar simply people with the same feelings as any other group. Do me a favor though, explain to me how a Christian is supposed to drive at 80 mph.
Not around you...........we have an attitude here that says "I will be to you like you are to me" so if you are surly and cranky and ugly to people, they will be that way to you. As I LIKE being ignored and left alone, it works for me. Apparently you need to feel loved by everyone, which is fine, but you will have to start loving everyone first.
Perhaps it will improve when you leave............
You MAKE?????? goes to show you how your attitude infects others. I ASK things of my students and we have fun doing it.
Considering most people here smile and talk to everyone, my guess is they just don't like you.
Again how do you live something like the flag?
Thank God.....I was starting to think you were going to set up permanent residence here.........

Leave it up to GP too set someone on the strait and narrow of Okie living . The OP should try and live on the East side of Cleveland, I don't drive through that side of town without fire power superiority, "THE BIG GUNS"!
