Rep to ya ArmyWife, those are beautiful pictures. Those clouds are awesome! I wouldn't mind one of those cute little Prarie dogs for a pet either - but don't think my dogs would like it. .

Redbird, I love the pics of the rainbows!

I meant to type "A rainbow with NO RAIN in sight." That is why I thought it was so strange.

Looks like Ada finally finished their Redbird Activity and Entertainment Center. Actually, it's called something else. It's at East Central U. in Ada, where Uncle Don taught Nursing for 20 years.

The Redbird Gold Dome Activity Center looks the same.

We had a couple of "little" (LOL) storms roll through the area on 8/26 and 8/27... We went out yesterday afternoon and grabbed a few pictures of the damage in Duncan and Marlow. All this from high winds and a TON of lightning!!

Click on the links between the pics for more damage...

This is my Crape Myrtle during the storm we had the day AFTER the one that did all of the damage.

WOW you guys got it hard, I wish we would get some rain. I swear we moved to the dryest part of Oklahoma LOL. I live in Lawton but way out on the south east side (closer to central high) and we hardly ever get any storms...Is the flag the big one that flies in front of the bank?

Marlow got much worse than we did, and we were pretty messy looking the morning after. Yes, That is the big flag at 81 and Plato in front of the bank. I was surprised to see that it had torn like that (on the reinforced side), it's been pretty sturdy through past storms.

I'm surprised you didn't get more rain considering the direction of the storm...it must have stalled out right over us. Don't feel too bad, we have seen storms split and go AROUND Duncan more times than we can count. This one really didn't have as much rainfall as it did wind and lightning, that's where all the damage came from.

Whooooa. And that was just a "storm"? Those are great pics, but scary stuff. AND that wasn't even a tornado, right? How's your tree with the stake in it that you posted eons ago LR? I guess I'll stick with our 118 degrees yesterday but thankfully no humidity. The swamp handled it just fine so no A/C bill yet!!!! I still want OK ASAP!!!
