FWIW, Brookside (the Peoria area mentioned above) has some great restaurants, good shopping, good coffee bars....if you have small kids, this party tomorrow will be a real treat for them and you...........

I agree with Goodpasture the Brookside area is great. I lived in the area from JR. High all the way through High School. It was great then but has become much better. Remember the restless ribbon and Penningtons drive in? The Boo Ha Ha parade is a great family experience and I urge everyone to consider going.
