Default How's the fishing?

Oklahoma is full of great fishing spots. Lakes, rivers, creeks, watersheds....etc. How's the fishing where you are?

Catfish have been deep in the channel at Kerr/Arkansas with fresh cut bait. Bait balls in the coves. No luck anywhere else.

Anyone else care to share?

How's Spaniard Creek, Wister Lake, Illinois.......etc?

Fishing is mandatory amongst my kinfolk. I have not fished in years though. I do NOT like fishing in farm ponds. Even the large ones!

My grandpa used to throw a rope around his car and use it to rappel (sp?) down to choice fishing spots on the wash ita river in Caddo County. I loved fishing with him.

It's pretty much been mandatory for 5 generations in my family. We love it and I passed it on to my husband and kids, which was a big mistake. LOL! Now my husband is married to his boat not me.

We live on WeatherUnderground.com and even though I work, my weekends are spent on the water.

Oops, I didn't know posting links to other forums was a problem...sorry about that.
What I said in the original post was that I had been so busy hunting I had not had the time to do any fishing. There are a couple of places to get the real scoop on how the fish are biting in Oklahoma if you do some Googling for "catfish - Oklahoma - reports" and "crappie - Oklahoma - reports." Hopefully that will land on two of the internet sites I referred to in my original post. There are some good local fisherman from Oklahoma that constantly update reports on the two boards.
