Pagans, Heathens, Wiccans, Native Americans, Hindu, Sikh, celebrate this day. Christians celebrate Christmas. Muslims celebrate Ramadan. Jews celebrate Hanukkah. Virtually all religions and faiths recognize this night as the ending of the old year and the beginning of the rebirth of life.

I am Christian. I am Cherokee. I am Polynesian. These cultures flow through my veins. All come together to celebrate the birth......the renewal.

I know there are those on this forum that celebrate the birth of Jesus, and as a Christian I celebrate it with you and wish you the Merriest of Christmas's possible.

For those of other faiths (and some here are of other faiths) tonight I will lift a tankard of ale, light a candle, kill an infidel (just kidding), and offer a prayer of thanksgiving that we live in a world where all can co-exist with a goal of finding joy and peace in their lives.

For the Cherokee among us, I will offer a smoke.

For the season, regardless of what you call God, or whether or not you call on God, I wish you all the very best....both for the season and for the coming new year.
Mr Goodpasture
