Economics.......small towns all over the country are losing population. With cities relatively close (Ponca is just minutes away from Blackwell) small towns with "nothing to do" are losing population to places where there are restaurants and movies. Pawnee, is just 20 miles from Stillwater......Stillwater is growing Pawnee is not. Doesn't mean Pawnee is a bad place.....just not a very dynamic place, and some of us LIKE "not very dynamic."

What's to like about a town that isn't very dynamic if as a result businesses are slowly closing one by one from the result of people leaving the town? IF it means a traffic light is taken away from lessoned traffic, that's cause for celebration?

Hi to all in Blackwell City OK. I hope you can help me. I am looking for an old friend and his last known address was Blackwell City, OK. His name is James Spencer Martin and his mother lived in Ponca City, OK. I got a Christmas card from him in 2004 from Ponca Ciy but when I sent a letter to him there at his mothers address it just came back saying "Moved not here!". I need to contact him as soon as possible because I have some really good news to tell him! Please help me! Thank you
