It's warming up in Hooterville, too. Not 22 anymore, last time I looked it was about 35. Driip drip drip.... Not looking forward to seeing just how many branches are hiding under the snow.

Be careful. That's when the broken limbs up in the tree tops will start coming down.

All 3 of Duncan's Power plants went out Thursday. The whole town was blacked out.
I don't know about LR or EX, but mine just came back on 5 min's ago.

We're still covered with ice. Thursday, tree's were slitting and branches were falling everywhere for hours.

Hi Y'all... Net just came back on... Like MK said, Duncan got hit hard...power is still off for many folks. Red Cross set up at the fairgrounds to help the people without power or heat. Some parts of town have been wothout water off and on because of the power loss.

My crape survived, we are well and thankfully our house was spared from damage. My goofy looking Pine tree has been damaged beyond repair, along with most of the other Pines in town.

Here is what it looks like down my street. That is a shot IN town...we do not live out in the country somewhere... Some parts of Duncan look MUCH worse...

I'll try to check in if the net and power stay up... *HUGS* - LR

Welcome back, LR. Tree branch removal is going to be a pain.

PSO and we have had power off and on thru most of this...Most of the people still without power are Duncan Power or their lines were damaged by trees or ice. Both of my neighbors to the east are still without power because their meters were ripped off their houses by falling tree limbs.

My next door neighbor has to use a Motorized chair to get around and we managed to run a cord over long enough to keep her charged up. She still lost all of the food in her Fridge and Freezer but she's hanging in there. When we didn't have power I cooked food for all of us on her gas stove, so we all had warm food.

We don't have NEARLY as many limbs to clean up as some folks...

I have to give a HUGE thumbs up and Thanks to all of the power companies from surrounding counties AND Texas who came in to Duncan and worked around the clock trying to get us back up and running.

Duncan is still a mess but it is getting better.

Oh yeah... and the Crape Myrtle is getting a CREW CUT after this!!!!

Saturday and Sunday were awful...the only sounds in the dark were snapping limbs, exploding trees and transformers blowing up...everytime the pine lost another branch the whole house would shudder. Driving around town makes me want to cry...

LR..if you need any help up there, cutting branches, Hauling, what ever, just let me know. I can get chain Saws if needed, I may be able to borrow a trailer too
I was helping some people up on Chestnut, St. Saturday.

PSO was the first to come back on. Saturday Cruizers on Main was selling gas because they were the only ones on Main (plus Eastlands) with power and with PSO.

Suggestion:
For those of you who have portable Generators. Pull them out a make sure they're in operating condition.
If you have trouble starting it, let me know and I will try and help through DM or Instant message.
