Hi. I am planning to study in OCU this fall and can't decide where to live in Edmond. I have two girls, grade 3 & 5 and want to live in a neigborhood that has good public elementary and middle schools. Would it be better to rent an apartment or a house? Are there a lot of nice apartments in the edmond school district? Or would it be better to live in a nice community neighborhood(rent a house)? Please give me some suggestions... I really want to visit to look at the neigborhoods, but I'm tied at my job until July...

You might want to ask the Mod to place this thread in the OKC forum. You might get a better response.

For $1000-$1500 a month I think you could find a pretty decent rental house. The more west you get the "better" things get... neighborhoods and schools. The North part of town isn't too bad either.

All three of the school districts in Edmond are good schools (North, Memorial and Santa Fe). I think you could get a really nice rental for your price range. Google the "Edmond Sun", as a lot of landlords and owners run ads for rentals in there and you can access it online. There are nice apartments in Edmond for your price range as well. Check out Legacy Woods on 2nd street and Stonebridge Apartments on Boulevard. Enjoy Edmond!!
