Another attempt to make the news fun in Omaha. Keep trying KETV.

Pick a date, have eveyone take pictures, send them in. Very original idea.......not.

But hey, this is Omaha what else are you going to run as a feel good story.

I have one question, why so many baby pictures?

the media in omaha is a joke. you have owh reporters working for omaha public schools. you have ketv and wowt folks who act like re-juvenilles on the air.

of course, a lot of people are bashing the media in omaha. cause the omaha media is a joke.

I wonder how you will make a profit based from news that only you think is worth showing.

It may be a joke from your point of view but that doesn't mean all people think that way.

i would bet on it.

the media in omaha needs serious people in charge and doing reporting and less of the brain-dead idiots like Terry Kroeger of the omaha world herald and whoever is in charge at WOWT

if the reporters did more research and stopped acting like a bunch of college kids. we need people who have a David Brinkley or walter cronkite kind of integrity when it comes to reporting on the news.



Bill Randby saying Paint it red baby (during husker games) is one annoying thing ketv does.


some of the omaha world herald's reporters like Michaela Saunders needs to stop constantly sucking up to people like OPS board president Sandra Jensen among others and instead do some real journalism would be nice.



and lets not forget WOWT 's geniuses such as Malorie Maddox and Brian Latham and Rusty Lord (can anyone take any newscaster on channel 6 seriously.

Omaha region culture is very natalistic. Demographics spell that out very clearly. You also have the phenomenon of very old rural areas and very young urban areas in the state. The rural areas are more conservative, but have huge out-migration levels to the cities in the state as well as out of state. The cities are little more evenly split when it comes to political party identification.

Oh and lets not forget the Christmas time commercials with all the news casters and their familys around a huge dinner table and X-mas tree wishing Omaha a Merry Christmas. Thank God there is YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK.
