This joint just opened up a few weeks ago on the good side of 120th and L streets. Thought we would give it a try since I am a wing lover and it is in a safe part of town.

This is place going to another flash in Omaha's restuarant pan of failed busines's.

We ordered the wings with medium sauce and an order of rings. There really was nothing special about the rings they only offer one kind of ring.

If you are going to have a name "Bufflao Wings and Rings" you better have a very special onion ring to offer. I would think that onion rings would be featured at the top of the starters menue, they were not you have to look towards the botton of the page for them.

The wings were just plain wings, nothing special. The place is not even from Buffalo,NY.

Just another sports bar in town.

I give it out of 5.

All the best BBQ places are on the east side. Everyone knows that.

Depending on who you ask, they fall under the same general umbrella.

Famous Dave's is okay, but it's just another chain and can't compete with alot of the small BBQ places.

Famous Dave's is a joke, another chain to please and fool the masses. Happy there is going to be a good BBQ in a part of town you will go to. Uncle Ernie's is opening Aug 2 at 149th & Industrial Road in the same strip mall where the Landslide Bar used to be. Its good to know there is a bad side of 120th & L, I am assuming you think 108th & L is the "bad" part of town. I know I dodged a couple bullets going to my accountants office a few months ago, it was close but good thing I live West of 120th Street or I would be dead by now. Next time I go to Korea King at 96th & L or Ralston I will remember to put on my bullet proof vest.

Ok, let's keep this as a Wing thread.

I'll do another thread on BBQ and since this new place is west of 120th I'll be more than "HAPPY" to check it out.

Sorry to be off topic, but my uncle calls Famous Daves the Kmart of BBQ. I've actually never eaten there.

I like the sauce they serve with the rings, but there is really nothing special about anything else they serve, that differentiates it.

We went there, stepped inside to a mostly empty joint and the hostess was taking a large to-go order from a woman picking up for a party/office/something. We waited with another couple for a few minutes. She said she would be right with us. The next 5-10 minutes consisted of her nervously looking over at us, and three or four servers walking over and standing there because they had little to do. At this point we decided to leave and just went over to the sandwich shop nearby.

I can understand waiting if it's busy, but if the restaurant is empty and nobody can get us seated I guess you just don't want our business.

The few times I have been in there, the owner has come over and been very nice. We have a big group that goes in every week, so he probably makes a point of getting some repeat business. Unfortunately, there is never anybody else in there on the night we normally go. I hope he is doing better than it looks because he seems like such a genuinely nice guy. They definitely have more than enough TVs!

The wings aren't bad. I'd be lying if I said I liked it better than BW3, but that's personal preference. I like the different flavor combinations (you can choose a sauce and the degree of how spicy you want it).
