Default The CVS Protests.

The CVS Protests.

God hates CVS.......I think she is from WB Baptist Church.

Wonder why they are not protesting this location?

Kind of makes you think.

I like how the protesters mostly seem to be college students. Have you checked out their website yet:

No CVS at 49th and Dodge - Home

I like the sign that says "no corporate stores."

Ha ha! Do these goof balls even understand what they're protesting? We don't want "corporate stores," but I'll wear Nikes, Levis, and Hanes clothes. And I'll buy this posterboard from a corporate producer, as well as the magic marker I used to write out my message. And I'll sit here and smoke my Marlboro after I drove here in my Ford.

I also get a kick out of the "Omaha Can't be Bought Sign." Even though there is a Uhaul branch sign posed nicely in the background.

Good lord. People crack me up.

Someday it'll be built, they'll lay down their signs, after a while they'll start shopping there, and they'll forget what life was like before there was CVS.

there's no need to shop there, there's a walgreens two blocks away, and a pharmacy a block in the other direction. I understand their frustration with CVS.

matt, your right. wanna bet these anti-corporation types also drink starbucks or drink budweiser beer.

leftist hypocrites

look, it is one thing if youre against cvs being built at 49th and dodge (and I have mixed feelings on this)

but if youre against cvs cause you are some leftist anti-corporation type, than I think youre pathetic and need to get a life and stop hating on captalism.

btw, there are wackjobs who think it should also be all local businesses in benson area also. (they hate Subway and Walgreens and Bucky's and soon CVS being in the benson area)

how is Maple street doing btw near 60th street.

at least a third of the places are empty on maple street between 60th and 72nd.

It's called choice. Perhaps they will be cheaper on some things that Walgreens wants too much for. It is also possible they may carry things that Walgreens and the other store do not. This is just like the old ranch bowl Walmart protests! It will happen and the neighborhood will be better for it in the long run.

I know there is a few spots in this town where there is a Mc D's and a B king right next to each other.

Why is this any different?
