Anyone have thoughts on a temporary cell phone?

I have an international student coming for a month and I'd like to provide a cell phone. I actually have an unlocked GSM that I can pop a SIM card into. But, the ones I've seen have ridiculous per minute charges,

Cricket has no committment/contract service... with unlimited everything plans that you could get for one month... not sure if you would be able to use your existing phone though....

I was going to suggest Cricket as well, assuming he isn't planning on traveling outside of Omaha, should be a-okay. Heck, I think most of the time they have a free first month deal going on, anyway. Or, of course, you could always use a Trac-fone, but I have no experience with those. I had Cricket for like 3 years though, they're decent enough.

I had Alltel for a while, then switched to Verizon, then went back to Alltel. I have been happy with it as it has good coverage wherever I go in Nebraska. Now Verizon bought Alltel, so we'll see what happens.
