Deny they exist? That's like saying HEY I dont see unicorns that fart rainbows, but you say they exist, so clearly *I* am the one that is crazy.

I have *NEVER* seen this so called 'smog' anywhere in Omaha. Granted, I dont go out to west omaha much, but if i see nothing but clear air and clear skies... how can I be in denial?

Guess I better start believing in the rainbow farting unicorns. They seem more plausible than smog in Omaha.

lol, it isn't that big of a deal, really- most bigger cities do have it due to traffic/industrial, and hot weather- although I have to admit the last few days have been so crystal-clear, just gorgeous-

You have one car, you have emissions, no doubt. But to have smog, you have to have enough emissions to make them concentrated enough to become visible. Did I forget the fog? Sunlight? If you have all of these factors together, then you have smog. I just simply believe that Omaha doesn't have enough cars in a compact enough area to produce enough emissions to become visible and make smog. Oh, I also forgot that I believe what my eyes see, and when they see nothing, then it must not be there.
....smog happens when there is a mixture of emissions, open burning (such as the "burn days" here), and industry emissions, along with a mixture of sunlight/fog/whatever- and in a city of around 400,000, how can you think that there are not enough "emissions" to produce smog? And let's not forget industrial emissions- and am I "trying to be really technical, or something?"...?? No, not until the beginning of this post. Common sense tells you that if there are a lot of cars- and in a city this large, there are a lot of cars...have you driven down Dodge around 3:30 in the afternoon, every day? And that's just one busy street. It doesn't have to be L.A. during rush hour in order for there to be "smog" from various emissions- and truth is, in the city I lived in in California, it was the same size as Omaha- and yet it had much worse air quality than L.A.-

To be perfectly honest, I could care less if there is "smog" here or not- I mean, it isn't a deal-breaker for me. I made an observation based on past experience, and what I see AND smell, then posted a comment about it. And as for "believing what my eyes see", well...I don't see air, but I'm certainly not going to argue its existence- maybe the area you are in has less smog than the area I am in, who knows- one thing is apparent from your post, though; "I just simply believe...."....well, I also "simply believe" that most people have a good heart, but that sure doesn't make it so!

Those Nebraskans - you criticize anything about their city, their state, or their football team - and it's like you're calling their mom fat.

Perhaps he would enjoy watching a Omaha Lancers game? Not my cup-o-tea but I know many who are big fans

Omaha Lancers (Design, Hosting, Registration & Administration tools by esportsdeskpro.com)

But then again it just may make his withdrawal worse?
