Does anyone remember or know why Baffoons/Jokers comedy club closed down a few years ago? Was it poorly managed?? Or is it that downtown Omaha not a good market for another comedy club?

Hmm I had never heard of that place and i lived in Omaha my whole life. I'm guessing it must have not been that good if it wasnt well known.

Jokers was a joint at 114th and Dodge it closed down about 5 years ago, they tried to make a go of it when the Funny Bone moved west. If never really caught on. Omaha is a one comedy club town.

Buffoon's comedy club I believe was in what is currently

Game at 13th and Jones Christian singles ministry in Omaha Nebraska

I never heard of it anyway til after it was gone.

the only comedy club I know of Omaha (that even matters) is Funny Bone at 168th and dodge.

btw:

Jim Florentine from Crank Yankers tv show (loved that show) will be there at Funnybone in a few weeks.

My bad the club that was at 114th and Dodge was Jester's not Jokers.

Still 114th is way to east for me.

Because Omahans have no sense of risque humor. The funniest thing to Omahans is "why did the huskers win the game? Because the huskers rule!"

That's Omahan humor, nothing classy or intelligent, or even deep, just trite and simplistic "humor."

That may be that you guys dont go east, but downtown omaha is clearly defined. 114th and dodge is definitely not even close to downtown omaha
