Man Destroys Restaurant After Being Asked To Smoke Outside

quote:

Police were called to the Buffalo Wild Wings near 76th and Dodge on Monday just before 11 a.m. .

There they found 41-year-old Earl Davis wreaking havoc on the chairs, tables and big screen televisions in the restaurant.

Yep, nebraskas law took effect June 1, 2009 and Omaha had one starting sometime in 2006. Lincoln had one even earlier, start of 2005 I think.

It is so nice now to got out to eat and not end up going home with a headache or feeling dizzy. First place I went on the day of the ban was Billy Frogs in the old market. While it still smelled then, it was a LOT better than the last time I was in there. Not that Billy Frogs is gourmet food, but they do have good burgers.

Sounds like he should not only quit smoking, but switch to decaf.

I'm glad he didn't have a gun on him. Something else was going on with this guy which seems obvious. He had to know it's against the law and policy to not smoke in restaurants. Regardless of his reasons he's still responsible for his actions at least no one got hurt.

Hope he spends time in jail. I don't know what goes through a person's head that makes them think smoking is acceptable in modern society, let alone in a restaurant.
