"BLOODBATH"....you're a total HYPE machine!...lol...have you checked your blood pressure lately????

What you are saying is drivel. And things you are repeating are just things that you've 'heard' about. You don't work with the dogs on a daily basis...you don't even own one...so, for you to post comments like you do is just ignorant. That's where my job comes in...to try to educate the ignorant.
Believe me, it's a tough job trying to get through thick skulls...but I do it.

You are obviously trying to rile up PitBullMommie with your ridiculous statements...which I am happy to see, is NOT working...ROFL

My suggestion to anyone who is on that APBT-negative hype bandwagon, hop on off and go volunteer your precious time at a shelter and educate yourself before you spout off on things you have no clue about.

***PitBullMommie, I was trying to give you rep points out the wazooo, but it appears you will be added, once again to my IOU list. ***

The "fight or flight" proclivity is in any species....you will meet just as many pits that will run with their tail between their legs if you even raise your voice to them as you will cocker spaniels.

Ever seen a bar fight? Some patrons of the bar run - others fight back - and then there's the idiot who isn't wired right who goes into the red rage and starts swinging at everything and everyone....and he's the one we read about in the paper. Same thing. You aren't reading daily about the pits that go into the hospitals and nursing homes as therapy dogs because that's just simply not sensational enough....think for yourself, man. You simply don't read about beagle bites - do you know there is a place in Missouri that banned LABRADORS? Mass hysteria over one unfortunate incident.

I have 6 Rottweilers, which also live on the edge of breed banning every day of their lives....people constantly say stupid things like, "aren't you afraid to be home with them all day?" Oh, how dumb....they are DOGS. I am their HUMAN. They have been trained right, brought up right, and I work with them every day.

What tripped Thunder and Lightning's trigger? Who the hell knows? But if they were acting strangely since the fireworks, I would have been super vigilant with them. I am not saying this is the owner's fault, I am NOT....but I AM saying there are signs - there are ALWAYS signs unless you have a dog that ain't wired right - and if you aren't watching t.v. so hard that you aren't paying attention to signs, then s--- happens.

The pit, much like the Rottie, the GSD, the mastiff, the ridgeback...these are working dogs. They NEED to work - they HAVE to work - it is breed standard. If you don't do the things they need to make them the best companion possible, you will most likely have a problem which you deserve from not doing right by that dog. The working and herding dogs are not for everyone, and THAT'S the mistake. Someone can feel sorry for the Rotts or the Pits being banned and decide to rescue one - well, if you aren't prepared to go the distance and do all the things the working breeds need, then you don't need that dog. Get a poodle, but for the love of God, don't get a working dog. They are large, they are powerful, and they are ACTIVE. If you're a couch potato, this is not the dog for you.

You are assuming a lot and presenting it as fact. Pit bull owners are not stupid. Pit bulls do not attack with less provocation....but I'll give you one point, stupid is stupid.

Whether someone wants to get a Rottweiler, an APBT, a collie, or a Shih Tzu - the first and foremost rule is DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Find out about that breed....don't love it because it's brindle or has long floppy ears or you like the look of a docked tail. Every breed has it's own standard - and yes, stupid people do not research the breed standard, or we wouldn't have shelters full of owner surrenders who didn't realize that Duke the Rottweiler puppy would grow up to be 125 lbs. of pure muscle in a puppy's body....gee...and we're the evolved species?
Finally! lol! Some people that are educated on these breeds and know the truth about them!

From what your are saying, I guess that whenever a pitbull mauls someone -(and note that I said MAUL and not just bite) it's because the owner was stupid. (the fact that you have to walk on eggshells with this breed to avoid an attack frenzy is telling enough)

Let's do some logical deductions based on that assertion.
1. Whenever pitbulls go off on humans it's because the owners acted stupidly.
2. People who act stupid are stupid.
3. The vast majority of pitbulls will attack with less provocation than other breeds.
4. That means that the vast majority of pitbull owners are stupid.

Ding ding ding ding ding! ding ding ding ding ding ding ding ding!!!!!

Oh wait I meant for that to be like a game show bell! Not a dog fighting bell! I hope you weren't reading that outloud to your pitbull!! If so you are probobly getting mauled right now!
This moronic post right here just proves how little you know about these dogs and how unbelievably close-minded and pathetic some people are. I really do feel bad for some people. As for the vast majority of "pit bull" owners being stupid.. That was a stupid thing to say! lol! That really shows me who the stupid one is! The vast majority of "pit bull" owners are wonderful, responsible, respectful owners. There are however, quite a few uneducated, ill informed, irresponsible, disrespectful, heartless "pit bull" (and every other breed in the world) owners out there that know nothing about the breed they own, that do not keep their dogs under control like every dog should always be, that abuse and neglect their dogs, that train their dogs specifically to be mean and/ or fight and/ or that just don't raise, train and socialize their dogs at all. The majority of "pit bull" owners own "pit bulls" because they know what amazing, stable, trustworthy, smart, loyal, unique, goofy dogs they really are. I don't expect you to understand how these dogs really are and personally, I don't care if you like these dogs or not. Whether you want to believe it or not, "pit bulls" are three of the best breeds out there! Anyone that knows the facts about these breeds will tell you the same things that I have said, anyone that is pathetic enough to believe all of the crazy myths and twisted media hype will obviously think the same sad, close-minded way you do and that's fine! "Your favorite song must be "Walk Like and Egyptian" because you are living in DENIAL" Sounds like you were talking about yourself. These dogs bring an unimaginable amount of joy and happiness to their owners every single day. My husband and I are the lucky owners of three incredibly amazing dogs and that's really all that matters! No matter what you think or what crazy crap you choose to believe, our dogs will still be wonderful, smart, stable, sweet, obedient, loyal, devoted, friendly, gentle and goofy and they will still be our amazing fur babies!

"Guess we all can just wait to see if she becomes a victim as well." Well, you will be waiting quite a while, hopefully 12 or more years! Because unless my dogs come down with some kind of serious illness, I start to abuse and neglect my dogs or I decide that I want to train my dogs to be aggressive and fight, I won't be a victim of anything except being loved by my fur babies until the day they pass. "For now let's just be friends here and have a civil discussion about this without calling a certain group of people stupid, okay. Let us not become Pit Bulls ourselves." I agree that no one, including myself, should be calling anyone or any "groups" names, but as for becoming "pit bulls" ourselves, I wouldn't necessarily see that as a bad thing! If we are talking about the majority of "pit bulls", the wonderful, loving, stable dogs that have been properly bred, properly raised, trained and socialized by loving, responsible, respectful owners that are educated on the breed they own.. That would mean that we are a lot better than most humans could ever wish to be!

I understand that you love your dogs - (just and zeigfried and roy love thier white tigers) - and you know how to walk the tightrope with their overactive medulla oblongatas -- but the fact remains that those dogs are TICKING TIMEBOMBS - and if they ever come in contact with someone who doesn't know how to walk on those eggshells correctly there will be a tragedy. I'm glad I won't be there when it happens. I will pray for you that it doesn't.

You need to go read over whatever post you are getting that from because I have never ever said that a Bull Terrier is a "pit bull". I know what I said, but you obviously don't so, I will say it again.. "Pit bull" is a term used to group three breeds.. American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Bull Terriers are not considered "pit bulls", I have never and would never say that!

As I already did in one of my last posts, here are pictures for you sinse you obviously do not understand words!

This dog is an American Pit Bull Terrier, also considered a "pit bull"...

This dog is an American Staffordshire Terrier, also considered a "pit bull"...

This dog is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, also considered a "pit bull"...

This dog is a Bull Terrier, Not, I repeat, NOT considered a "pit bull"...

Again, I HAVE NEVER AND WOULD NEVER SAY THAT A BULL TERRIER IS CONSIDERED A "PIT BULL".. I said that American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers are considered "pit bulls". I'm not sure if you are thinking that a Staffordshire Bull Terrier is the same thing as a Bull Terrier or what, but they are not the same breed, they are two completely different breeds! Bull Terriers are not "pit bulls"! You need to stop saying that I said something that I never said! DO NOT put words in my mouth! Go read whatever post you are getting that crap from and you will see that you are sadly mistaken!

This is a link to info on American Pit Bull Terriers...
American Pit Bull Terrier, Pit Bulls, Pitbulls

This is a link to info on American Staffordshire Terriers...
American Staffordshire Terrier Information and Pictures

This is a link to info on Staffordshire Bull Terriers...
Staffordshire Bull Terrier Information

This is a link to info on Bull Terriers...
Bull Terrier Information and Pictures, Miniature Bull Terrier

As you can see, Bull Terriers are not "pit bulls", they don't resemble the three "pit bull" breeds and they are not anything like the three "pit bull" breeds. DO NOT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH! I haven't put words in your mouth and I would really appreciate it if you would extend me the same courtesy! Anyone that reads my posts can see that you must not be able to properly read, I don't know what you are trying to do, but you are making yourself look bad. READ things before you go saying that someone said something!

Incase you still haven't got the point...

Bull Terriers are NOT considered "pit bulls"
Bull Terriers are NOT considered "pit bulls"
Bull Terriers are NOT considered "pit bulls"
American Pit Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
American Pit Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
American Pit Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
American Staffordshire Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
American Staffordshire Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
American Staffordshire Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
Staffordshire Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
Staffordshire Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"
Staffordshire Bull Terriers ARE considered "pit bulls"

If you still don't understand, I have no idea what to tell you! lmao!

First off, please don't pray for me.. lmao! The last thing I would ever do is walk on eggshells around my dogs. They are a dominate breed and they need a strong "pack" leader to show them who is in charge.. If I walked on eggshells around my dogs they obviously would not be properly raised and trained, they would not be disciplined at all... Think before you speak. As I already said, believe what you want, I, along with many, many others, know the truth and it really doesn't matter at all what you think. Oh, by the way, I don't own tigers.. lol!! Don't compare apples to oranges!

This is not a debate on what I have said or PBM.
YOU have posted many false statements and are trying to
state them as facts...when in fact, that is not what that they are.
Not even close to being facts.
And now your comparing the dogs to white tigers? My goodness.
You're stretching now. And I think you are aware of that.

My points were not 'defeated' as you would like to think.
My point that you didn't bother to read is apparent.
You only see and hear what you want to.
You are wrong in your assumptions and unfortunately you can't swallow
that fact.

You're a hype machine...it's almost to a level of paranoia...which is quite disturbing....but this seems to be all you thrive on and it's very obvious in your posting style.

People love to use spout off about anything which they generally have no knowledge about.
You just so happened to choose this topic.
It's sad actually.

You have more than enough positive information from people like PBM, myself, Sam, lastra and others but you still choose to incite paranoia along with hysteria.

It's a very common response from people such as yourself who cannot handle the fact that well trained, loved, happy, APBT's and the like, actually do exist.
It's time to take the blinders off.

I know that the job I do as far as educating the public on the positives and proving it by bringing my dog as 'proof' and opening up MANY peoples eyes, is just the beginning.
And I know PBM as well as others do an excellent job at posting positive information along with personal experience.

And if I can prove to one person those positives....than I've done my job.
And I intend to continue to educate people.
