Well, the judge ruled against Suttle, the recall will go on. I suppose he might appeal the decision? But my question still stands, do the taxpayers have to pay for the court costs that Suttle is racking up?

I know it sounds bad but from what I've seen on the anti recall group I really wouldn't put it past them to have some of their goons signs the recall petitions with either phoney names or names of people so they could prove without a doubt fraud. They seemed to really run with that before they even saw the names and were sure it existed, which seemed suspsious to me.

So what does everyone think? Will he get re-elected?

I really think so. He has a point, there are the other 92 % that didn't participate in the recall. Plus, who is better? I don't think there's enough people that will vote for somebody else, just because they don't want Suttle. Especially since there'll be more than one other candidate.

I'm happy to see him get recalled. I only wish I could vote.

Only problem is in a recall election, those who want the mayor out have the advantage. They quite simply are more motivated to get out and vote. Lets face it, suttle has not been winning any popularity contests and is not a very well liked mayor. Though I myself do plan on voting to retain him as mayor for 2 reasons. One is quite simply that the recall group has failed to show how they would have done things differently and also have yet to bring forward a candidate. Secondly I simply disagree with this recall as I feel recalls should be reserved for abuse of power or illegal activities.

His best chance for keeping his office is to really drive home the point of how almost all of the funding to start the recall came from Nabity and his cohorts. Dave Nabity is pretty much loathed by most people and if Suttle takes him on I think he stands a decent chance.

But that is how Suttle won in the first place. He was not Hal Daub.
