What are some good restaurants to take out of state relatives? I have family coming in from California want to take them out to some of Omaha's great places

This might help. It's mostly about old Omaha restaurants but if you scroll about 1/3 of the way through it profiles some of the remaining restaurants from the Omaha steakhouse empire.

801 Chophouse at the Paxton is very good. When I have foodies come in from out of town I always suggest 801 if they want a good steak while they are in Nebraska.

Best steak I've eaten in Omaha is Brother Sebastian's...but that's a bit of a more intimate, romantic place. Not sure it's great for a group.

sullivan's near the downtown library

vivace on 11th and howard

spezia's at 72nd near grover

I would recomend. all great places.


havent tried Brother Sebastian's or 801 chophouse

or the 610 in midtown crossing http://www.loft610.com/omaha/ (broken link) yet so I cant comment on them.

is great too. plus it is dinner/a movie. went and saw RED and also Sherlock Holmes there and had lunch there also.

great place to eat/watch movie at.

Brother Sebastians (pricy, but was very good - hubby took me there for our first date!)

Edelweiss in bellevue is great great german food

Bohemian cafe in downtown is great

Blue Sushi (old market location) is fantastic

Korea King out on Q is really great korean food
