I recently lost my job and have been cutting corners (i.e. getting rid of my Cox services at home). What are some of your favorite spots with free wi-fi?

Here is my non-exhaustive list... please add your favorite hotspots.

Papillion:
Sump Memorial Library - great internet speed, nice environment (study rooms available), open until 9pm Monday through Thursday

McDonald's 84th & 370 - open until 1am but very few outlets for charging, not very fast internet (can't stream music and work at the same time)

Border's in Shadow Lake - speed varies greatly, nice environment

Panera 72nd & Giles - lovely cozy atmosphere, sometimes incredibly crowded

Starbucks 72nd & 370 - Not a lot of workspace, internet access has been spotty there at times

Omaha:

Caffeine Dreams 45th & Farnam - nice, somewhat low lighting, space can be at a premium

And it sounds like he was frequenting the same one daily. I doubt it would have been an issue if he'd alternated between 3-4 different places for his lunch time surfing.

What's funny is that he probably could have had that thrown out had he wanted to fight it.

The issue is that this is on the books now. Someone was found guilty and had a sentence. It now has prescedence in the legal system. Just saying.. Sorry, didn't meant to take the thread off topic. . :-)

Agreed.

Although, there was precedent already in regards to sponging off a neighbor's unlocked wifi if you live in an apartment.
