I think it goes back to the privacy issue, as well as free speech. Most porn is made in the privacy of someone's home, so it is deemed legal. Then when it gets put on DVD or the internet, it is usually free speech (there are exceptions, of course).
Prostitution, on the other hand, is illegal when you solicit a prostitute in public, where there is no right of privacy.

That's not the reason at all. Most porn is shot in Southern California because of the clustering of open-minded & physically fit people there. It doesn't happen in Omaha because of all the Republicans and meat eaters with beer bellies.

I know people who are involved in the pornography business (not just actresses either) and can assure you that you couldn't be more wrong. Many of the men and women in the films are from some other area and either move to those areas or travel there just to do the filming, including the younger sister of a girl I went to school with in Council Bluffs.

True or not, this is hillarious.

A good many legitimate massage therapists operate out of their homes. I did that line of work for 5 years in Minneapolis, and on a busy Friday I might have 6 clients coming to the house, all male. No, most city codes won't allow running a business from your home, but que sera sera!

There's any number of people running Internet businesses out of their homes today, which might entail customer traffic. I know someone who's running an internet travel agency from their home, and my sister who runs an online antique business out of her home.

Myself, I'd rather have hookers operating next door to me, than drug dealers. Some drug dealers just left a house, two doors up from me, and being a nite shift worker, up all night, I was saddened to see these underaged teens sitting on their porch front, waiting for their drug dealers to come home. But I couldn't prove anything! Perhaps they were Psychics, working out of their home!

Exactly! And it is not the dogs fault! It is never the dogs fault. Blame the owners! Stupid people, wake up!
