I lived in Omaha and Bellevue many years ago...back in the 60s. We lived at one point down the road from Stella's Burgers in a mobile home park that used to be a drive-in-theater. My Mom said we could walk to Stellas from the court. I've tried to locate the name of the drive-in theater and the address. I know it's long gone but I'd still like to know. Any help would be appreciated

Lightbulb Hope this helps

Stella's sounds interesting, I'll have to stop in and try one of the burgers next time I'm visiting the area.

Stella's Bar & Grill
106 Galvin Rd S
Bellevue, NE 68005

Grandview Outdoor, Bellevue

There was the Grand View, located two miles south of Omaha on Highway 75. Speakers for the movie sound were set on a 60-foot-tall tower.

The website is slow to load information about the drive-in but it's there with pictures.

Thank you..when I lived there it was around 1962 or 63 and it was already a mobile home park but they left the speakers and i think there was a playground at the bottom.
Mom said we walked to Stella's so no idea.

You might do a google map search of the area; look for Stella's and then get a view of the area and where you might have lived. The new street views of the google map are very interesting. You'll have to figure out which way you walked from Stella's to get back home unless you remember the street and house number. It's amazing that they had those speakers up on a poll instead of instead each car. Must have saved them money on stolen speakers that people would drive away with after the movie....... lol
