Do you mean koine Greek? The NT was written in Koine Greek. Of course, the Septuagint was translated into Greek, as well.

I have LOGOS Bible software, allowing me to read several translations. I typically read the ESV for devotional purposes, but I also like the NASB, which is about as word-for-word translation as any. I can also look up the Greek word for anything I want, and do read it, as I've taken Greek.

Second, you said it was our opinion versus yours. Well, we also have a fact that goes with our opinion: Gay people want to get married to other gay people. And when have opinions ever been superior to facts?
Are you suggesting morality is just based on opinion? If so, what makes your opinion more valid than anyone else's opinion?

Maybe, maybe not. I'd like to know how exactly you come to that conclusion?

You are the one making the case for homosexuality being immoral. I have repeatedly said that I find it not immoral, for I cannot think of a reason to label it as such. You have given us a reason, but your reason was based on a holy book that not all of us find credible.
And that is wrong how?

Quote:
Ergo, you've been asked to justify why homosexuality is immoral without referencing your holy book, but thus far you've been either unable, or at least unwilling to do so.
Why?

What do you base your opinion on? Where do you think that comes from?

Actually it's pretty much turned into a Calvinist getting his e-ass beat by a bunch of people much smarter than he is.

Feigning denial about the ass beating you just took doesn't change the facts.

I haven't read half of this thread, but it's begging me to comment being at the top of the list every damn second. I know it's become about religion. Just wondering... Why would someone want to willingly live their life based on a what some book, some people say is right and wrong with the ultimate belief that their going to live their "afterlives" in one of two places that nobody knows exists? Seems kind of crazy to me. I mean, I'm not gonna tell someone they're wrong for believing what they believe, but it seems foolish to me to basically not partake in some of what the earth offers us in fear of living again after you die in some horrible place that again has not been proven to exist. It just makes sense to make of your life what we want. After all, it is the only life we know we have.
