Default New to Elkhorn, waste disposal???

Can someone please tell me what the protocol for waste disposal (general house -trash) in Elkhorn is? I believe that it is an option to have the city of Omaha pick it up, now that it has been annexed...But I'm not clear on who to contact to get the correct information.

It's hard to say since Elkhorn doesn't even exist anymore.

Call the city of OMAHA to figure out what to do with your trash.

My mailing address is Elkhorn but my subdivision was not annexed. You will need to find out if you were actually annexed or not because if you were, your trash pickup will be free with Deffenbaugh. If not, you will still have to pay for trash pickup as I still have to do. If you were annexed you do have the choice of not using Deffenbaugh and still use the waste collector of your choice.

As for using Elkhorn or Omaha, the Elkhorn post office says that as long as the zip code is correct, you can use either one.

I just moved from Elkhorn, a neighborhood which was not annexed and we used Papillion Sanitation for years and liked them....

Thanks for the info. I'm confused by the whole annexing thing. Not much of that going on here in upstate NY. I guess, I'll just find out what the neighbors are doing. :-)

Just like Benson and Millard don't exist? Get over it . Elkhorn does and always will exist, the difference is that now it is a part of Omaha. If it didn't exist you would have had no idea what the poster was talking about.
