Default Omaha Lawyer to run for held since 1978 by same person's school board seat

Lawyer seeks OPS board seat - Omaha.com

I am rooting for her.

I am actually rooting for anyone who runs against Borer and Morrissey and Huston and Drickey and Gray also.

it's time for more independent voices on the school board

and less of the rubber stamping board members who just agree with anything Jensen and Mackiel says or wants.

at least she seems like a more legitimate candidate than the guy who ran against Jensen in 2008

4 Omaha Public School board incumbents bow out

The Omaha school board is set for its greatest turnover in 30 years after four incumbent board members decided against running for re-election.

The departing members include Sandra Jensen, who first won election to the board in 1978 and has served continuously since 1981.

With the departures of Jensen, Mary Ellen Drickey, Nancy Huston and Kersten Borer, the board will lose more than 60 years of combined experience.
