Everyone hear about the shooting at the Tyga concert??

Good.

Here's my concern. There have been no arrests yet. But, we know that the probably shooters were a rap group that was upset with Tyga because he would not let them peform at his show. This tells me that Tyga at least knows the name of the group or can remember faces.

Second, there are youtube videos that show the guys who were involved in the altercation during the show.


THAT'S 2 LEADS RIGHT THERE.

I hope the OPD don't drop the ball on this one.

this also happened east of the border as some out west call it

aka east of 72nd street (where the west omaha folks are afraid to go,


unless it's the baseball stadium or the century link center, than suddenly those who are afraid of eveything east of 72nd's fear magically vanish


why is that? how can one be afraid of going east of 72nd but not afraid to go to the baseball stadium or the century link center which is east of 72nd street.






btw this incident happened a couple miles south from Omaha Central High School (aka the school with a controversial record of dealing with trauncy)

To be fair... Many of us from West O are not afraid to go East of 72nd. But like myself, we are afraid to send our kids to Omaha Public Schools.

90% of violent crime in this city occurs in like a 40 block by 3 block rectangle of the city, you should be scared to go there. It never fails, and when I hear there is a shooting, I ALWAYS know what they are going to say for the location.

See that's weird 'cause I'm almost never uncomfortable in the "bad" parts of the city, but I am in the good parts mainly because I really have to watch out for myself walking with all the desregarding motorists.

It goes a long way to acknowledge we'll never completely understand eachothers' preference for either half of the city. Let's just be careful not to allow suburban type developments in urban areas and urban developments in the suburbs, so be can both make the most of our respective ideals/parts of the city. Lately, I'm confident that Omaha is more equal in that it's shunned any new suburban type developments in the urban parts of the city... Now, also, it doesn't make much sense to make an urban development in the suburbs. Lets find out who we are where we are, embrace it and keep that to our own sides of the block

I guess if the choice is between disregarding motorists when I'm walking in a street, or people firing hand cannons at me north of dodge and east of 60th, i'll choose to just walk on the sidewalk in the suburbs.

The thing is there aren't many random killings in Omaha, if you aren't in the drug game or in a gang there is no reason to worry. No matter which side of 72nd you live.
