Can anyone tell me who is playing in the series? There is a possibility we may be in Omaha this weekend.

Thanks so much! Maybe we'll take in a game if we get out there!

The must see game in the first round will be Stony Brook vs UCLA which is today (friday). Stony Brook upset powerhouse LSU to get to the World Series. They are the tourney underdogs that will be taking on the the big boys. The stadium will be rocking with people coming to root for the "Bad News Seawolves".

A word of advice. First, check the box office for tickets, they will often have a few seats lying around. Next, stick around the stadium looking for scalpers. BUT, DO NOT pay more than face value. Many sellers are just people looking to unload tickets that they can't use. The professionals will try to scalp you, but just say no thanks and keep looking. You might even score some tickets below face and since Omaha is a friendly town, I've even seen people giving them away.

IMO the must see game is next. South Carolinia, the two time defending champs vs. Florida the #1 seed in the tournament.

Seems to me the family friendly culture of the past has been replaced with a drunken bar and beer-tent culture, especially at the 8pm games.

There were just as many drunks and beer tents at Rosenblatt. I would be it is actually easier to police downtown since they aren't snaking through backyards an neighborhood streets.

When was that not the case at Rosenblatt? Unless you thought all the red solo cups in Dingerville were Pepsi and everybody at the Zesto's beer garden across from Rosenblatt was drinking Kool-Aid.

Well, we went! We got some tickets at Hy-Vee; had to buy a book of 10, used two, used the rest as part of a tip for our motel room. (Offered them to the fam, but they weren't interested.) We saw Stony Brook play FSU, rooted for SB b/c they were the Cinderella team. We had a great time.
