That still does not get around the fact that you are punishing responsible people because they MIGHT commit a crime. You are not even giving them a chance to show if they are good or bad, just laying out a blanket blame on ALL of that group.

The police and sheriff would enforce a curfew just as well as they did the fireworks laws.

A) The Sheriffs work Douglas County, and do very little inside the city limits. They would not be wasting thei time doing curfew work.

B) The fireworks law is rarely enforced because, by and large, no one gives a damn. The only time that law is really enforced is when complaints are made, and even then it's basically a "knock it off and don't make us come back" lecture.

Hence why I say they would not care about a curfew. How likely is the 16 year-old loitering kid still going to be pestering the staff at Perkins 30 minutes later when the fuzz shows up?

If someone is causing a disturbance that is an entire story altogether.

Based on personal experience, I must disagree. I managed for Taco Bell for 12 years. Their prioritization for teens being teens was not high. This in part is why many stores began to hire a security guard on weekends.

Loud, obnoxious, food fights, gathering in groups in the parking lot; sometimes obstructing the flow of cars through the drive-through, not leaving asking when asked, squealing tires in the parking lot, sex in the bathroom..........
