This should be standard across the city. It's much safer and would cut down on accidents from SUV's blindly backing out of their spots.

It would be much safer if we could just get people out of their cars at least part of the time.

I got into the habit of backing in when I park due to the fact that we have to do this at our workplace. People that ride with me as well as people in the parking lots often think it is strange that I back in. It isn't difficult to do and makes it much easier and safer when you leave. I am glad to see Omaha doing this.
