Hello again,

Still looking at Omaha for my next move, and a question popped up in my head. I am a craft beer enthusiast... that is, I like to drink beer and I like good beer. Here in Denver the availability of craft brews is just awesome, a decent selection of microbrews in most liquor stores.

How is the availability of craft beer in the Omaha area? Is it common for liquor stores to have a section dedicated to craft beer? I just read an article about Stone Brewery starting a market in Nebraska and it got me thinking, will I have to go to specific, bigger liquor stores, or will my future neighborhood liquor store most likely carry a decent selection?

Omaha is a great beer town!! Lots of brands and getting more every week it seems like. Most the Hy-Vee's have good selections, but places like Beertopia or Brix will have the very best selections in the city. Omaha also has a quickly growing local microbrew scene. Two opened within the past two months and 3 more are u/c right now. Also places like Crecent Moon, Krug Park, Wilson & Washburn and Jake's have fantastic beer selections for bars. Krug has 50 taps and over 100 different bottle selections.

We aren't on Denver's level because that is the mecca, but Omaha holds it's own.

That is excellent to hear, I just went to Beertopia's website to peek at the beer list, and it looks like I will be just fine. They even have Ska brewery which I know is only available is few places outside Colorado, this is great news as I love Ska brewery.

I am also excited to try the Midwest brews that are hard to find out here like Madhouse brewery out of Iowa and Empyrean from Lincoln.

Camping in the Midwest with Ska's True Blonde is going to be paradise.

You'll be in heaven in Downtown Benson. I can't wait to get back there myself.
