likely for sure Channel One Russia Channel One Russia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia will be on Prism TV in Omaha

along with Rai Italia and Zee TV Zee TV - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and Tv5Monde TV5Monde - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

since many other Prism TV cable systems across the usa air those foreign language channels.

I am hoping they will air SCOLA for sure also.

I doubt there is much demand for Russian or German TV in Omaha.

Doesn't DirecTV have about 100 international channels? I'm sure they have a Russian and German channel.

that maybe true, but many big cities and even smaller cities carry a few international channels.

besides there is market for SCOLA in Omaha, so to say there arent people who would watch Russian or German TV is up for debate/matter of dispute

I mean Time Warner Cable in Lincoln has TV Asia and Zee Tv so there is a market for international channels that arent in spanish in Nebraska.

and bosco, Omaha is home to the German American Society on 120th (between I and Center streets)

http://www.germanamericansociety.org/

so dont count out there maybe a niche audience in Omaha that many want to watch

RTL (which airs)

and:

(aka) Alarm für Cobra 11

and:

also reruns of House and Law and Order and Psych among other us shows that also air on RTL

they do, but there are expensive and u got to buy them as a Intl. package.

I been told that Prism TV in Omaha will carry some International channels for like 3 to 5 dollars extra a month per channel

15.99 is the minimum for a package deal on intl. channels on direct tv

besides all cable companies carry is Channel 1 Russia and RTL and that is good enough for me.

besides Direct Tv refuses to carry meTV and Antenna TV and Scola for some reason.

Good info Billie. I looked into it, and DirecTV offers 10 different Russian channels, and starts at $14.99 a month:

CenturyLink launches cable-TV alternative - Omaha.com

quote:

CenturyLink has started selling its new Prism TV service in the Omaha metro area, while the telecommunications provider is still in negotiations with at least one city, La Vista, to allow the cable television system there.
