Hey folks,

I'm a researcher at UNO investigating what motivates people to live downtown rather than elsewhere in the Omaha metro. If you live downtown, please consider taking just 10 minutes or so to complete my online survey at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/downtownomaha

I'm not collecting any personal information, though you can provide your e-mail at the end of the survey if you'd like to take part in a follow-up interview.

Thanks for your help! If I get enough interest I'd be happy to post some of my more interesting results here.

This research has been approved by the UNMC IRB (IRB # 139-13 EX)

So they can pretend they're in New York City. Not literally, but there's so much overcompensation that goes on in urban centers of mid-sized cities, that might as well pretend.

It's either live downtown or live inside your car. Neither is a wonderful option but if you stop to consider how truly dreadful the consequences of a car-based life are, you choose downtown.

Actually, a lot of people live in or near downtown because we/they absolutely loathe and abhor the suburbs. Suburbs suck.
