Default Looking for a little bit of advice on a move to Omaha

Hi everyone,
We are currently in Southern California and looking at a possible move to the Omaha area. Thank goodness for the internet!
I have been working hard doing my homework to learn about the area, weather, things to do ect. We plan on renting, at least to begin with (rather difficult to sell a house in Southern Calif. right now. LOLOL)
I was hoping someone could tell us about these apartments/townhomes. Are they in a decent neighborhood? If you know anything about them good or bad I would love to hear it.

Hidden Valley Apartments and Townhomes
Terrace Garden Townhomes
Stoney Brook
The Larimore
Fontenelle Hills

If you know of any other nice places I would love to hear about them. I like the idea of the basements as an extra and the thought of a fireplace is great...cuz it looks like I will freeze my tushy off! I also prefere to bring my own washer and dryer.

Thanks in advance for your help and input.

I have a friend who lived at the Larimore and didn't like the management.

Same price range is the Westport Lakeside Apartments. I lived there for about six months. Nice apartments, you could bring your own washer and dryer, no fireplace though.
