Hi All,
Does anyone know someone who has moved to Toronto-Canada ? or are able to advise/help in suggesting the best possible way to move via land. We, plan on moving to Canada sometime in Jan-Feb permanently and are seeking some help in planing, we live in a one bedroom apt. with not a whole lot of furnitures, besides a loveseat, sofa, 2 end tables, 1 coffee table, a 32 inch tv with an equal sized stand, dinning table and 4 chairs, and a mattress with box springs with
no head/foot board and a whole lot of clothes i.e. it. and to top it we have a Accord, any suggestions

I've actually looked at moving to Toronto. The Canadian governement isn't very accepting of Americans coming up there. I have friends that are Canadians and say it's hard for Americans to get jobs up there.

I really wouldn't echo your experience/knowledge, as a matter of fact Canada is a land of immigrants, diverse culture etc and in my opinion its just the Canadians ( born/lived/living there for generanations feel threatened ) because alot of the skilled immigrants "seem" to take up their jobs and probably thus the insurity, and hence its predominantly visible due to their population unlike the US.

I think the reason for the "expensiveness" of Canada that he's getting at is because of the exchange rates. I don't keep track of this, but years ago Canada always had the problem because of the relative weakness of the Canadian dollar relative to the American dollar. The American dollar has weakened, but I'm not sure if it has with respect to the Canadian dollar, as much as say the Euro.
