Omaha - ?????
We've driven to and visited Branson, Kansas city, Coloroda springs, since they are within a days driving distance, I'm looking for other places to visit during Nov 23rd - 26th, 07 ( leave on 23rd and return on 26th)... Can anyone please suggest/advise of any tourist destinations for the above dates, we are 5 adults & no kids & will be driving.
PS: We've got Chicago for a different date.

May I suggest an area that nobody else would mention?
I would actually suggest checking out Central and Western Nebraska..
SandHills area crazy beautifull, Mullen in the Sandhills is a world-class golf resort town.
North Platte has some very eye appealing hills, it looks in the rocky mold.
In northeast Nebraska near the Niobrara River is another recommendable location to check out, as it has a few good kayaking resort areas with cabins and etc..
Buffalo Bill home in North platte, Willa Cather birth place in Red Cloud etc..
Oh yeah, let's not forget Badlands National Park, also there are dinosaur fossil parks here..

Thanks ehenningsen, isn't Badlands National Park in S.D ? Also, where is Sand Hills located ? is there anything around Mount Rushmore, wondering if it would be too much to go from Mount Rushmore to Denver area, in 3 days ?

Primarily yes
but Badlands actually does stretch into Nebraska..
The Sand Hills is located in north-central and northwest Nebraska
The black hills in SD is awesome, you would love it!!
Also visit Sturgis, SD when the bikers come into town, even though you are not a biker it is fun!
SD has some rather large lakes built by damning up the Missouri River, one in particular is the Lewis and Clark national park..
I would also recommend going to Des Moines, IA for a day or two, it has some nice things to do like Adventureland and a decent skyline, it's about 2/3s the size of the omaha metro and so there is less to do, but for a few days you will be entertained.
Laramie, Wy is recommendable also

Fully Agree. An area of the state that a lot of folks are not familiar with. Very unique aspect of the country.
