Default Acknowledged and Rewarded

Good to see the good rewarded!
OPS gets a bad rap, and yet we have found it to be absolutely amazing compared to the Clark County School District in Las Vegas. My daughter goes to Burke HS and is thriving. Her teachers are quick to reach out to us with good and bad; whereas it could take up to 6 weeks of constant inquiries to get a response from a teacher in Vegas. And, she loves all of the activities, and sports, and clubs that are available - there weren't nearly as many choices in Vegas.

I agree that OPS gets a bad rap. I went to Omaha North and had a fantastic experience.

I went to Omaha North too. 1998 grad.

OPS I think gets a bad rap cause some of the higher-ups and alumni reps arent as motivated as Millard and Papillion 's schools are.

I think Omaha South and Omaha Central and Omaha Benson 's alumni reps need to be more looking out for their school than being obsessed with holding onto power.

but thankfully, with the mostly new 9 member panel on the school board we got last year, things will get better
