Benson sucks in football because they're playing schools that are double and triple their enrollment.

Why a school with 800 students (Benson) is playing schools with 2500 students (Omaha North, Millard North) is evidence of how stupid some of the "powers that be" are.

Put them up against schools like Blair and Elkhorn and you'll see a different picture.

Graduated from Benson in 2009. We were bad at sports just like we have low test scores, no one cares to put in the hard work to imporve. I played football and track and the practicies were a joke. One of my best friends went to Millard West and they took sports much more seriosuly and they are much better because of it. At benson the average student has an attitude of not caring about education or sports what so ever. Going from benson to UNO was like a whole new world. Attending a place where people are passionate about education was an amazing thing to see.

well as the 1969 grad that stadium used to be packed and you're right we had a great football team. It was always interesting to look back when we played boys town or north or some other good football school like Westside and be singing our mascot song and lbut we had a great team and I think we had the largest pep squad in the state of Nebraska something like 400 members. It was a really great time being in that high school. Jim Larsen Alexandria Va
