Default Omaha pronounceation

I found this very interesting that Omaha in Nebraska is spelt exactly the same way as Omaha township in New Zealand. Omaha in New Zealand has a very Maori sounding name to it. Maori people are the original settlers of New Zealand and many New Zealand towns,cities are named through there maori language.
O ma ha is how we pronounce it here in New Zealand.

Omaha in Nebraska actually came from an Indian tride (Native American Indian, not India Indian). There was actually an Omaha Tribe in the mid-west and that's the origin for the city.
