I have quite a few lesbian friends through a connection and none of them act like the clowns that love to march in these circuses. They don't run around making a scene screaming "I'm Gay" any more than I do by screaming that I'm heterosexual. What they do instead is have occasional get togethers where their straight friends are welcome too. Celebrate your sexuality in private like decent people no matter where your leanings are.
Watch the size of the brush you use there mate. It seems to be rather broad at the moment. Have you ever been to a pride parade? Or are you just basing it off what you see in the media? Furthermore, there is a long and extensive history behind Pride that goes beyond a few guys in their underwear. It's a historical thing at this point. And don't pretend like straight people are angels all the time either. Case in point, Mardi Gras.

to those who ask "where's the straight pride parade?"...

organize a straight pride parade. Nobody's stopping you. I wouldn't attend for the same reason I don't attend gay pride parades, I just don't enjoy that type of thing, but if you put it on more power to you. That excuse is a non-starter
